COAST GUARD MEDEVACS CREWMAN 

NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Coast Guard medevaced a 38 year-old male from an 84 foot fishing boat about 60 miles south of Lafayette, LA late Tuesday night.

A watchstander at Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans received the call around 7:15 from Sector New Orleans, reporting a crewmember aboard the fishing vessel Capt. Andy was suffering from a possible cardiac emergency.

A helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans picked up Tran Van Chan, 38, of Abbeville, LA and transported him to Lafayette Regional Airport, where he was met by a waiting ambulance and EMS crew.
