COAST GUARD MEDEVACS MAN FROM TUG

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The crew of a Coast Guard HH-65C rescue helicopter from Air Station Corpus Christi medevaced a man from a tug located 5 miles south of the Colorado River in Matagorda Bay.

The 41 year old man from Brownsville, Texas was aboard the tug ISIDUR CENAC when he started suffering from chest pains.

Coast Guard Station Port O'Connor initially responded to the calls from tug ISIDUR CENAC at 1:21 p.m. today by launching one of their small boats.

The HH-65C helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi arrived shortly thereafter to pick up the man and transported him safely to Citizen's Memorial Hospital in Victoria, Texas for further treatment.
