Coast Guard Cmdr. Randall Wagner stands with Rear Adm. Thomas F. Atkin, Commander of the Deployable Operations Group, as during a change of command ceremony for the Maritime Safety and Security Team (MSST) in New Orleans Thursday, June 26, 2008.
Lt. Cmdr. Daniel Jones (seated) was named the new Commanding Officer of MSST New Orleans during the ceremony. MSST New Orleans is a specifically trained, uniquley capable, and tactically focused deployable unit that supports and augments Coast Guard shore-based and mobile patrol forces. There are currently 82 personnel assigned to the MSST New Orleans. The majority of the crew serves as Tactical Boat Crew and/or Boarding Team Members.
