COAST GUARD RESCUES 3 PEOPLE FROM CAPSIZED SAILING VESSEL

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Coast Guard rescued three people from a capsized 17-foot sailing vessel in Pensacola Bay at approximately 4 p.m. today. 

Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a call from Florida Fisheries and Wildlife at 3:30 p.m. today reporting that a boat was in distress with three people aboard. 

Sector Mobile launched a 25-foot rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Pensacola to the scene.   The crew rescued the three uninjured people and transported them to shore at Navy Cove.  

The sailing vessel is awaiting salvage operations.
