COAST GUARD CONTINUES ITS SEARCH FOR MISSING SWIMMER 

HOUSTON - The Coast Guard is continuing its search this morning for a missing swimmer, off the 4700 block of the Galveston Seawall in Galveston, Texas.  

A watchstander at Sector Houston-Galveston received a call at 8:54 p.m. yesterday from the Galveston Police Department reporting a missing swimmer.  The 21-year-old male was last seen swimming with a friend near the Galveston Seawall.

Air Station Houston launched an HH-65C rescue helicopter crew and Station Glaveston dispatched a 25-foot rescue boat crew to assist with the search.  Rescue crews searched throughout the night.

This morning the Coast Guard resumed its search for the missing swimmer.  Air Station Houston launched a second HH-65C rescue helicopter crew and Station Galveston dispatched a 47-foot rescue boat crew to continue the search.
