Coast Guard Medevacs injured crewman 

NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medevaced a 37-year-old man today from a vessel located approximately 50 miles southeast of New Orleans in the Main Pass of the Mississippi River. 

An HH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew received the call at 3:52 p.m. from Coast Guard Sector New Orleans, reporting that a crewman aboard a shrimping vessel had sustained a neck injury and required medical evacuation. 

The helicopter crew safely hoisted and transported the crewman to West Jefferson Hospital.

The condition of the crewman is unknown.
