Coast Guard to host Maritime Industry Day

WHAT:  Maritime Industry Day 2009

WHEN: 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday  Feb. 10, 2009

              4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday  Feb. 11, 2009

              9 a.m. to 12 a.m., Thursday  Feb. 12, 2009

WHERE: Tan-Tar-A-Resort, State Road KK, Osage Beach, Mo., in the main conference room

The Coast Guard is hosting an Industry Day in the Lake of the Ozarks area with members from the Coast Guard, the Regional Exam Center and the Transportation Security Administration who will be available to answer questions about mariner licensing, Transportation Workers Identification Credential Program and federal regulations for hunting and fishing guides upon federal waterways.

Tuesday presentations will address issues for mariners currently holding a license, Wednesday presentations will address issues for potential licensed mariners, and presentations on Thursday will focus on tourism agencies.
