Coast Guard medevacs man from pleasure craft |

DESTIN, Fla. — The Coast Guard medevaced a 34-year-old man from a pleasure craft 83 miles south of Destin, Fla., Friday. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile, Ala., received a call from Coast Guard Station Destin at approximately 7 p.m. Friday, reporting that a man aboard a pleasure craft was suffering from severe hand pain and requested a medevac. Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans launched an MH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter and crew and Aviation Training Center Mobile, Ala., launched an HU-25 Falcon Jet and crew. The man safely hoisted into the helicopter and was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. His condition is unknown. ### Saving Lives and Guarding the Coast Since 1790.
